Vittala Temple is the most extravagant architectural showpiece of Hampi. The musical pillars are most famous of #VittalaTemple, there were over 56 odd musical pillars, but today only nine musical pillars produce melodies. It is said in ancient times, there were hundreds of musicians who would place themselves across the temple and play on these pillars for the King. The Temple sounds would travel over kilometers across the land during night. The way the temple was created was to put enough of pressure on each pillar to give it a particular note. The Vittala Temple is a fascinating part of ancient Indian architecture. (Image copyrights belongs to their respective owners)
